Aprilia motorbikes will soon be ready for the motorcycle racing World Championship with a satellite team in 2018, says racing manager Romano Albesiano.

In the MotoGP 2015, the Italian builder came up with a production-based bike, which innovated a customized model last year.

Previously in the last 12 months, it acquired the RS-GP with AleixEspargaro finishing sixth two weeks ago in Qatar. The motorcycle fell right behind Honda pair Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez.

Operation for Aprilia motorbikesis not classified as a full-time dealer and is managed in partnership with the Gresini team. However,Albesiano says it should be able to provide a customer next year.

According to Albesianoin the Gazzettadello Sport, they are notready for discussions for these types of motorcycles, but can be a possibility.

Currently, they are centred to innovations of the bike, which will have a so-called satellite team, that is going to be ready in 2018.

Albesiano continues that the company is relatively small and with the satellite team, it should help them structure its benefits technically, sporting-wise and economically.

For self-sufficient MotoGP outfits, those who currently supply the MotoGPare Yamaha with two bikes for a team, Honda with three bikes for two teams, and Ducati with six bikes across three teams.

Promoter Dorna needs a 24-bike grid furnished by six makers, each providing two-satellite bikes and two factory bikes.

Suzuki and KTM have expressed their interest for an expansion next year. Sowith Aprilia motorbikes finding a partner, Dorna’s vision can be materialized as late as 2018.

Moving to Enhance One-lap Pace

According to Albesiano, Aprilia motorbikes is supported in the MotoGP package, which Espargaro admires since his transfer from Suzuki. The motorbikeis said to maintain a pace for a long run in a single lap.

These bikes were expected to get better, says Albesiano from the Qatar season opener. He confirms that their bikes are much better than any other brand as it can enhance a race pace.

They will just need to improve Aprilia motorbikes’ performance for a single lap, which includes the Argentinian Grand Prix this weekend, though he doesn’t know how long it can take.
